Advocacy

Each member at the crystal house is giving a staff person who acts as an advocate or contact person for them. This person is responsible for helping the member complete a goal plan yearly; this plan consists of what the member wants or needs to work on as part of their rehabilitation at the clubhouse. The members share only the information they are comfortable with, and the goals are reviewed and progress is noted as needed. Even though all staff is available for all members to contact, their advocate is their point person. Members are welcome to switch their advocate if they so desire.

Crystal House is also involved with the Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition and attends the monthly advocacy meeting to discuss other clubhouse issues. We send one staff and one member and they relay the information at our community meeting.
